On occasion, one provider may leave a practice. This may require removal of all references to the separating physician, as well as all of his or her patients from a database. We can create 2 db’s each with different data. We can create a 2nd DB with just the data from the departing doctors which we can merge into a separate existing DB. MD EMR Systems can perform such a “database divorce” without disturbing the integrity of the data being moved. This process is handled in a similar fashion to our data migration processes.
